Guardian of the Coast

"Guardian of the Coast" captures the steadfast presence of the lighthouse, a beacon of hope against the vast sea, rendered with careful attention to its architectural details.  Using layered watercolor washes, I aimed to depict the atmospheric perspective of the coastal landscape, contrasting the solid form of the lighthouse with the soft fluidity of the surrounding sea and sky. This painting is a meditation on the enduring strength of these coastal sentinels and an exploration of light and form, celebrating their iconic silhouette.
