The Skeletons of the Woods

The Skeleton of the Woods' is a meditation on the transformative power of winter. The skeletal forms of the trees, stark against the soft, diffused light of the winter sky, reveal the underlying structure of the woods. I've used a combination of muted and unexpected colors to suggest not only the coldness of the season but also the subtle signs of life that persist beneath the surface.  The painting is an exploration of the interplay between fragility and resilience, stillness and subtle movement, capturing a moment of quiet introspection within the winter landscape.
