Elephant Breakout

This piece was so fun, AND challenging.  I'd never attempted to paint any kind of animal, so when my client said she wanted an elephant I had no choice but to be a quick learner.  After drawing the initial sketch, I spent a lot of time creating the busted brick wall of which this little guy is breaking down.  I used acrylic paint and added an abundance of shading to create a more realistic end product.  The canvas shown is 36" x 24".  If interested in this or something similar, please reach out to me so we can talk!
