This piece was so fun, AND challenging.  I'd never attempted to paint any kind of animal, so when my client said she wanted an elephant I had no choice but to be a quick learner.  After drawing the initial sketch, I spent a lot of time creating the busted brick wall of which this little guy is breaking down.  I used acrylic paint and added an abundance of shading to create a more realistic end product.  The canvas shown is 36" x 24".  If interested in this or something similar, please reach out to me so we can talk!

My mom's garden always included tons of irises in every color you could imagine.  It was her favorite flower, and it brought me great joy to create this piece for an older neighbor lady who shared the same love for this beautiful flower.  After settling on the background color, I used a hot glue gun to create the outlines for each flower.  I then carefully painted and shaded each crevice and outline.  The picture shown measures 24" x 32".  The final step included adding a high gloss sealant.

I love color, and most of my pieces celebrate that fact.  However, with this piece I intentionally chose earth tones, along with shades of brown, gold, and blue.  This color pallet ended up being perfect for what I wanted this painting to say. This design can be customized to your liking!

I've been a mountain girl my whole life.  I've been incredibly blessed to have seen most of the major mountain landscapes in the USA, and loved each of them.  This 18" x 18" dot art landscape captures all my favorites!  I've added the waterfall to create dimension and interesting twist as it appears to be flowing out of the frame.  The colors of blue and shades of purple create a calming presence within this piece.  The frame is wood and measures approximately 1.5" tall. I've painted the frame blue to compliment the painting.

This picture speaks volumes on its' own, and I'll be forever grateful in knowing from Whom my strength comes.  I originally painted a picture similar to this for a friend who's a teacher.  When she asked me to paint something for her, I asked her, "what message do you want to send to your students?"  She replied, "to love themselves".  I believe that's a message we all need to practice, especially in these turbulent times.  Since sharing with my teacher friend, I've filled several requests from other teachers and parents for this picture.  I hope it speaks to you, too!

Acrylic Paints on a 12" x 12" canvas

When I started this 16" x 20" canvas, I had no idea where it would end.  After sketching the basic patterns, my paintbrush guided itself to add the decorative filigree.  My goal was to incorporate as many shades as possible without allowing them to "fight" with each other.  The final step was to add hues of complimentary shading, mostly in white.  I used acrylics on this piece, my paint of choice.

I love beautiful sunsets, regardless of where they happen.  I've had the privilege to see some cast over the ocean, but unfortunately that place is about 1,000 miles away from where I live....so, I create my own!  This 12" x 12" canvas has a painted base, then by using a hot glue gun I was able to add the design.  A bit whimsical and perfectly my style!

This 18" x 24" canvas was so fun to create!  I created the insets first, then placed them into the borders I made out of insulation strips.  Once secure, I added various levels of using a hot glue gun.  Finally, the rich gold paint was applied to complete this beauty.  With gold and black being the only colors, this piece will be a great addition to nearly any room!

I'm a sucker for pink flowers!  This 12" x 12" canvas was created using a hot glue gun and meticulous painting and shading.  I created this about the same time that my outdoor flowers were blooming, which was my total inspiration.  The size of this piece is a perfect filler for a small spot needing a pop of color and texture.

This 8" x 10" canvas combines a calming pallet of colors.  I drew a simple, but flowing design pattern for this piece.  When I start sketching my designs, I find that I'm inspired by whatever my mood is for the day.  I must have been feeling much peace and calm on the day I painted this. Ahhhh.....

When a friend asked me to create something textured for her newly refurbished living room, I experimented until I came up with the perfect match for her.  She loved it and so did I, which inspired me to continue this technique.  This 10" x 14" piece is made with a unique mixture using plaster as a base.  The pearlized colors provide a warm and relaxing pallet for the eye.  The back of this piece has an extended "lip" for hanging (see picture).

This 12" x 18" decorative 3D painting incorporates most of my favorite colors!  I painted this on a wooden plaque, approximately 1/2" deep.  After painting the background a stunning teal, I hand-sketched the basic design I wanted to follow. From there, the painting is meticulously done on raised hot glue gun creations.  The colors will enhance nearly any room in your home.  I absolutely loved creating this piece!

While painting this piece, my mind was filled with precious memories of my mom's love of Christmas poinsettias.  I grew up in a small Minnesota town, and each Christmas my mom took great care to make sure all of the traditional decorations were displayed, the same ones from previous years but ones that her 5 kids expected (and wanted) to see.  We always had at least 2 poinsettias displayed and in addition, mom always contributed to the huge display at church.  That display surrounded the entire alter, a space that measured approximately 20' x 15'.  I loved studying each and every plant looking for similarities and differences, while catching myself drifting off from what our preacher was saying. Loved every minute of it, and this is the inspiration for this creation. 

This 12" wooden round is very lightweight, so easily hangs flat on your wall.  The aluminum insert is 8" and holds the colors from which I've chosen to use in my painting.  All paint I've used is acrylic and liquid gold leaf.  I've also included a table-top easel for displaying on a table.
